Pali-Hindi Dictionary
Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (Deemed to be University) Nalanda is publishing a Pali-Hindi Dictionary which is out of common run. It not only gives the meanings of a word but also appropriate quotations from scriptural texts and their commentaries for illustration of meanings of the term in question and its use in all cases; numbers, genders if it is a noun or an adjective inclusive of participles; persons as well if a pronoun. In case of a verb, its use in all tenses, moods, voices and numbers. A corresponding word in Sanskrit – Vedic, Classical or Buddhist – has also been noted against each entry. In the history of Pali lexicography it ranks first in its kind. Four Volumes of it have been published yet. These Volumes cover words beginning with ‘a’ up to ‘gh’.
