About Sanskritik GramThe Sānskritik Grāma (Cultural Village) is conceived to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Nalanda. The Sānskritik Grāma shall cradle community institutions around art, craft and culture and thus promote sustainable livelihoods from tourism. Tourism products identified under project are sustainable and shall help to showcase vibrant spiritual and cultural heritage of Nalanda.

The Sānskritik Grāma is 1 km. from the Ruins of Ancient Nalanda Mahavihara and is situated beside the Xuanzang Memorial Hall. Sānskritik Grāma shall be a sprawling infrastructure spread over 50 acres of land around the Xuanzang Memorial Hall. It is meticulously designed to cradle and promote art, craft and culture of Nalanda. First phase of construction which consists of Workshop and Artisans stay, Open-air Theatre, Hāta and Guest house almost completed. Second part of construction consists of a meditation hall, an Exhibition Hall and an Auditorium will very soon.

This centre shall not only host art, craft and culture based events but also develop and promote new tourism products based on interpreting heritage. Broadly, this shall serve as Tourist Information Centre, which shall facilitate special interest to flourish the tourism.
